A dime is a $1,000 bet. Additional sportsbetting terms used to describe wager sizes include nickel ($500) and buck ($100).

The term dime may also be used in reference to dime lines; an alternative name for ten cent lines. This is used to describe the margin a bookmaker adds to a betting market when adding their vig.
