Double chance

Double chance is a wager where two of the three possible outcomes of a match (home win, away win, draw) are selected. Bet tickets win if the match results in either of the two selected outcomes. While double chance betting markets are offered for many sports they are most frequently used when betting on football (soccer) due to the relatively higher frequency of draws.

Possibilities

Given that double chance wagers select two of the three possible game outcomes among home team win, away team win, and draw there are three possible ways to set up a ticket. All double chance wagers are graded based on the score at the end of the 90 minutes regulation time.

Home team and draw

Abbreviated 1X, a double chance wager on home team and draw will win if the home team wins outright or draws the game.

Away team and draw

Abbreviated X2, a double chance wager on away team and draw will win if the away team wins outright or draws the game.

Home team and away team

Abbreviated 12, a double chance wager on home team and away team will win if the game does not end in a draw.
