An '''under''' is a bet on the combined number of points or goals scored by both competing teams being less than a set amount. The under and [[over]] make up both sides of the [[total]] [[betting market]]. In order to win a bet on the under both teams must combine for less points than the total.
Bets on the under are usually not popular amongst casual sportsbettors as it can be seen as unpleasant to watch a game and cheer cheering against scoring playsis often unpleasant.
