A ''hedge'' is a bet placed on the opposing side of an existing wager in order to secure profit or minimize loss. Hedging is often accomplished using a [[live betting]] platform that allows users to wager on events in progress. Hedging can also be done to secure value in a [[future]]s bet that has increased in probability throughout the season.
