In sports betting the term off the board describes a betting market that a sportsbook is not currently accepting bets on. Abbreviated OTB, the most common reasons for a game being off the board are that the opening line has not been released yet, or an unforeseen event occurred that would significantly impact the expected outcome of the match (such as the announcement of a key player's injury). Sportsbooks will re-open the market once an updated betting line has been set.
