eBanx is a payment processor that was used by many early internet sportsbooks. It allowed customers to deposit using credit card and withdraw through e-check. This was highly desirable in an industry that was reliant on Western Union and cash payments through agents.

History

Mayan Sports, Grand Prix Sports, and The Big Book were among the first online betting sites to use eBanx. All three sportsbooks were powered by software distributed by Cyberoad. On November 29, 1999 eBanx was purchased by Cyberoad.[1]

Cyberoad closed in 2000 and it's assets were acquired by eSportz. Kazootek Technologies were in charge of managing eBanx as a payment processor for The Big Book and Bodog.
