Team prop

A team prop is a type of proposition bet on the stats or achievements of one or more competing teams. Wagers are made on specific events which may not always directly affect the match outcome. While team props are less common than moneylines, spreads, and totals they are still offered by many sportsbooks. Proposition bets based on player stats or achievements are known as player props.

Team Prop Limits

Betting limits on team props are usually lower than standard markets. This can be attributed to the lower betting traffic relative to popular markets such as moneylines, spreads, and totals. Certain team props have high variance preventing oddsmakers from setting sharp lines. Bookmakers counter this by setting lower limits and increasing vig on team props.
